"System Data" taking up half of my phone's memory

So since I updated my phone, there seems to be a mysterious 3-4GB of "System Data" on my phone's hard drive that I can't get rid of.
Screenshot of this (Click to View)

I have an LG Leon running Android version 5.1.1

Is this a known issue with updating Android or is this a new thing?
Hey

Did you try factory resetting it?
If i were you i would try and root the phone and go back to the older lollipop
FJB
If you go into recovery and clear cach and delvic (sry for bad spelling) that should fix it
In android it's normal....If you use the system for a long time it creates many, many files for the system working faster. Also not all apps are unistalled fully. Is your phone "rooted"?
