Python

whats the best coding language you can learn? as a beginner

Hey i was thinking of learning pythion as my first but i am a little unsure. Whats your opinions?

Python is a great language to start, it really doesn't matter where you begin. Java or Python, just choose one and continue from there. The important part is you understand the basics of programming, which you can apply to similar languages. Good luck!

EDIT: Just realized, this is the Java section... so, it may not be too surprising that we may push you towards Java :P. Did you mean to post in Coding and Programming?

Sapere Aude!
You posted this in Java subgroup man.
It depends what you want to do.
Python is excellent. So is the C family.
Java is great for cross platform as well.
Be specific what you want to do and you will get more helpful Ansers.
Cheers
I would suggest Java. As it builds key programming fundamentals that easily carry over into other languages. For example, after I had a solid understandment of Java, Python was a BREEZE, where as if you learned Python before Java, you would miss out on many things.

What would the differencies be between coding and programming?
I'm. In Java SF so not looking to pick a fight. Lol
C++ syntax is similar to both java and C. Tbh I would start with C. Memory alloc isn't done for you, and you deal with memory pointers a lot. As well as cleaning up after yourself. Then when you want to go OO decide. On platform, learn the OO nuances. And make an educated choice. I
It's not a simple question. Python will teach you logic, variables and scope etc, and may be the easiest to start with. Again depends what you want to do.
Cheers.
(and no flames please... Just trying to help the guy, I know all 3 we are discussing).
As others have said.
I don't think it matters where you start, it depends on what you plan to do.
Python is a good start though and Java holds a lot of weight in the commercial world.

Good luck!
Depending on what you plan on doing, starting for online-webformant use HTTP for the basics of coding yea id suggest python
Python's amazing. I love it, it's functional, it's incredibly expandable.
I learned in this order, which is incredibly weird imo (no formal education until Java, and at that point it's limited):
HTML/CSS
Python (bits and pieces)
C#
Python (more bits and pieces)
Java (1 semester worth, yay public education)
Python
Currently messing with Java but placing a MyBB forum ahead of learning Java.
