2nd screen resolution

Okay, so I have my main computer screen, and then a 50" TV. The resolution / aspect ratio is fine on the main screen, but on the TV it's off. Is there a way to make the TV fine without messing with the main computer one?

I dont know if you are on windows 10 or not but this should work with most windows versions. If you right click on your desktop and click on display settings. You then select the screen you want to change and click "Advanced display settings". Then there should be a resolution drop down that you can set what the screen resolution should be. Usually it is just set to what the monitor comes at but you can put it at what you want.
Is the TV's resolution and AR the same as your monitors?
