When my 2nd screen is turned off, my graphics get worse on my main screen. btc prize

hello hf, i have a 144hz screen as a main gaming screen.
whenever i connect my other 60hz screen to have 2 screens at the same time, my main screen 144hz graphics get much better.. even my in-game fps get higher.
it's like using the whole graphic card when i use the other screen.
whenever i disconnect my other screen 60hz, the 144hz graphics gets sooo bad :/

any idea how can i fix this? i want full performance without connecting my second screen.

giving 50 bytes for whoever helps me
Is it the same if you boot up your pc with only the 144hz plugged in?

yes same, it only gets better when i connect my 2nd screen.
Posting whatever GPU you're using may help.
I don't really do rep for rep so if you're using your daily rep on me save it for someone else ❤️

Long time fascination with computers, politics, some gaming, but less so nowadays.

im using gtx 1060.
First check ”Windows Key + P” and select main screen or PC screen only, forgot exactly what it should say.

If that doesn’t work, go to the display settings and see if you need to change the resolution.
If resolution isn’t the issue then try go to ”Display Settings” > ”Advanced Display Settings” and click ”Display adapter properties”, then select your monitor.
Where it says ”Monitor setting”, you should be able to choose refresh rate. Change it to 144.

I'm confused, why do you not want 2 monitors?

still didn't work :/ it seems like it's using its max vga power when two monitors are on.

it's annoying when i only need 1 to game only, and if i keep the second monitor on and turn it off.. my mouse will go there by mistake and go outside game.

maybe it's a cable problem? i got 2 cables on the 144 screen and 1 full hd cable on the 60hz screen.

Update: i tried to change the cables, and it's still the same.
my graphics get only better when i connect my other screen.

paying 2$ btc + all my credits for whoever solve this.

Problem solved:
my second monitor was using cpu as a main monitor processor.

simply changed it to gpu and it's all done!
