So lately i have seen alot of scam reports in the market place section, (I was a victim myself :( a while back )
So i thought of two ways to maybe try and reduce the amout of scams
1) Ban from marketplace: If you scam you get banned from the marketplace section, its pretty straight forward.
2) Raise the amount of post needed to sell their, or make it leet and up. I know that making leet and up could stop members from getting good sells but yeah this is just suggestion <3. Or at least make the marketplace only available at 200+posts. Members could still see the marketplace but not sell their stuff, or services. Or maybe just block it completly.
So yeah this has been my first Suggestion. And hopefully i dosnt get flamed like many other suggestions ive seen XD

I agree with you'r first option, it's a nice concept.
But you'r second is the classic 'L33T and Ub3rs only' view which I personally just hate, although I am Ub3r I still hate it alot because it's unfair.
Yeah I think those are both great ideas. Marketplace banning would be great, if good enough proof is provided for a scam.
I also think that L33T and higher is a good idea as well, because at least we know that these members are willing to donate to the community, and will have something to lose if they do decide to scam.
HackForums staff have stated previously that they don't want to ideally get involved in deals, forum-banning is implying that you did scam, and staff do not want to get involved.

Ok i do have a come back idea then, maybe Omni, could create a usergroup that could moderate the marketplace. Oubviously the members in that group would be trusted members chosen by omni.
So its not really staff taking care of it, more like the community helping itself
( i know this is far fetched
Staff WILL NOT take action upon scam reports. They are just there, to inform other members who may be trading with the accused scammer.
I like the idea
And i think its great, both (and i know it would prevent me from getting in there but id eventually make it :D lol) are. btu i doubt Omni would do it..
Tho i like your latest suggestion. It is probably the best way to do it
The first idea is alright, but really if there is sufficient evidence that they scammed, staff can and will ban them currently.
The second idea fails, if you look in almost any successful sales thread over half the buyers are very new accounts.

You mean a moderator?

Your idea is not well thought out and has severe problems with current policy.
