Spoiler (Click to View)I was personally cheering for Light the whole time I watched Death Note, to me his goals were very clear and I mostly agreed with him, the things he did might be immoral, but the ultimate goal was worth it, too bad L died tho imagine them 2 working together, it would be perfect.

No doubt the world has certain people it'd be better off with who leave it worse than when they found it, but Light become paranoid and made many people an unnecessary casualty.
