I don't play Go but I've seen tons of articles talking about how Niantic is ruining the game with updates. Is this the end of the game's popularity?

I don't see this section lasting much longer. Even if they aren't "ruining" the game, every fad fades and this one is no different.

To be fair, the big API updated set everyone back. They're trying to mitigate it, but our developers are too good.

I don't believe this section will ever die.. Like sam said, with all the changes and stuff, the activity will die down eventually because of changes.
But this section will always have people in it.

Bots are working fine atm such as necrobot and pokefarmer but with pokesnipers people are running into issues it seems, so yeah, they tried I guess.

That's what I'm thinking. I don't see it being removed completely but I'm pretty confident it'll become a subforum.

The hype train is fading, even for legit players. Around me, a lot of people are getting tired of gyms dominated by GPS spoofer players lol.

This section will fade a lot when the bots become a paid asset by the way.

They had the most downloads during launch week in App Store history.

I think they've broken a handful of records for downloads, usage, etc.
