Asking for a friend who use to boost fresh accounts to diamond for 500 a pop.
Wondering if the money is still that good? Perhaps better?

Midrange (Plat-Diamond) boosters make anywhere from $20-50 per job.
Highend (Low Challenger+) boosters take long jobs (d3->master for example) and make anywhere from $100-300 per job. Source: boosting work experience and I owned a whole boosting service/website for some years.

Agreed. It's stressful. When you're smurfing it's different. Your MMR is high, it's easy to rank up, you don't have to be afraid of losing. When you're boosting, you have a 1 rank a day deadline.
pay is pretty bad unless ur a challenger/high master player doing orders in diamond/master
ranking and then selling d5 accs will get you like 50-100 per acc prob not worth it at all website pay is really shit, earlier in the season i saw a lot of $20-25/div in plat (one owner I talked to even paid $15/div in plat, basically slave labor) if you don't mind slave wages and enjoy playing low elo I guess its worth it but otherwise not really, best bet is to try to find your own customers and boost directly but acquiring customers as a solo booster is p hard nowadays

Depends how good you are. I made a decent income from boosting/coaching. My friend gets Masters within 4/5 days on a fresh account so if you can do that you can make a lot of money. However you need to start on your own or you need to join a boosting service but they take a %

Sometimes they ban him or I play another role. But this account had a shitty MMR (17lp per game) now it's a pretty good one, I am getting about 25ish.
I was boosting 1-2 years ago, but I mainly boosted danish people, since they paid more.
Overall, the pay is really low. I tried to do it fulltime, and it kinda worked out, but it took a lot of time too. I took all boosting jobs I could get, and played accounts to challenger on Turkey when I had no boosting jobs. After less than a year, I got tired of League of Legends, because I was playing way too much, just to make everything run around. The skill level is a bit higher now a days, but still plausible. I could sell them for $200-250. |
