Why did i join?
Simple, i came here to make money.
Tried to sell some "batch viruses" (i was 14 at that time), and people told me to take my shit somewhere else (yeah, they where right).
I then, and its hard to admit but i'm gonna be completely honest, tried to scam people.
I thought i was smarter than everyone, but boy did i get served.
Anyways, i quickly adjusted my goals and started to learn from people, started to make friends on the forums, and started to work on things.
This forum is part of who i am today, and i'm thankful for that, so lets get my feedback going.
Sections
Only gonna do the sections i'm active/ever been active in.
-Skype, IRC, ICQ, AIM, XMPP, and IM Hacks
I used to be active in this a lot back in the msn days.
Met great people, hosted several freezing bots.
There was a lot of drama to, specially when kyle's msn bot source leaked and everyone started to share it under different names.
-Ebook Bazaar
What can i say about the Ebook bazaar, hmm.
In my opinion, it should be closed.
Its a quick money for anyone who can afford a sticky thread in the section.
Simply come up with a barely/half working method that COULD make you money, purchase a sticky, and poof, cash starts rolling in.
Yes, i did this to, multiple times, and its really that simple, people on here believe anything and its just a section for scammers.
-Griefing
The infamous minecraft section.
Used to be good back in the days, but it the breeding hole of cancer nowadays, can't say anything more about this section.
-Premium Sellers Section
I'm glad it got splitted up in multiple sections (Ddos, crypting, etc) and Omni did a great job with that.
Used to be a shit hole filled with booters and crypters, so i'm glad omni did something about that.
Always deal with caution, and don't buy anything without seeing PROPER proof (not talking about the vouches who are obviously fake.
-Runescape
Love this section, there are friendly people there and everyone tries to help each other out.
Most enjoyable section for me ATM.
groups
I've ever been in much groups.
I've been in 3/4, but its always the same thing.
Every group has this "post X posts every week or get kicked out".
Groups shouldn't be about that, Hackforums for me is a place to relax, not a extra job.
Can't say much more about groups sadly.
Staff
-Omniscient
What a hard working man, jeez.
He truly does what is best for the forums, even sometimes taking steps where a lot of people don't agree with.
Over the time iv'e really gotten loads of respect for him, even tho he RKO'd me twice (one time undeserved in my opinion, but that's a long time ago), hes a really good and hard working man.
You shouldn't piss him off, because he can respond a little but, ehm, hard sometimes.
-Other staff members
Don't know a lot about them, most of my time on here it was JD, F8 and omni, so can't really talk about the other staff members.
Punishments
I'm gonna be completely honest with this.
I think that sometimes punishments are dealt out without proper investigation into the problem.
I know that omni doesn't want to deal with drama, and i can't blame him for that.
But i do think that sometimes a punishment goes a bit to far for how small the problem really is.
Then vs Now
Of course, back than HF was way better, the community was much closer.
BUT.
Its a lot bigger now, a lot of people with great knowledge about different subjects who can teach it to other people.
Both now and then have positives and negatives, and it will stay that way.
Conclusion
This forum has thought me a lot.
It helped me improving my English (i know that i still suck at it, but yeah), and has taught me a lot about certain things.
I'm really thankful about that, and i'm really thankful towards omniscient for creating this wonderful place where i have spend a lot of time on.
There still is a lot to improve, but there will always be.
Shoutouts
All my closer friends from this forum are now either closed down or left HF.
There are a lot of friendly people around who teach people things, who help other users out, etc.
I would like to thank them, and do a shoutout to them.
Thanks for reading.
