Synopsis (Courtesy of MAL): Spoiler (Click to View)Striking fear into the hearts of mortals, the Demon Lord Satan begins to conquer the land of Ente Isla with his vast demon armies. However, while embarking on this brutal quest to take over the continent, his efforts are foiled by the hero Emilia, forcing Satan to make his swift retreat through a dimensional portal only to land in the human world. Along with his loyal general Alsiel, the demon finds himself stranded in modern-day Tokyo and vows to return and complete his subjugation of Ente Isla—that is, if they can find a way back! Powerless in a world without magic, Satan assumes the guise of a human named Sadao Maou and begins working at MgRonald's—a local fast-food restaurant—to make ends meet. He soon realizes that his goal of conquering Ente Isla is just not enough as he grows determined to climb the corporate ladder and become the ruler of Earth, one satisfied customer at a time! Whether it's part-time work, household chores, or simply trying to pay the rent on time, Hataraku Maou-sama! presents a hilarious view of the most mundane aspects of everyday life, all through the eyes of a hapless demon lord.

Sub/Dub: Didn't watch in dubbed version, the sub version was decent.
There wasn't a subbed trailer that I could find, so found this random AMV, enjoy: Spoiler (Click to View)
While it has been a few years since I've seen this anime, nevertheless it is quite a humorous experience despite beginning with a darker setting. The story involves characters from another realm being transported and stuck in our own world, thus forcing them to struggle on minimum wage salaries, an interesting take with several anime that already try to adapt the work setting into anime. However, with the darker undertones the anime calls into question of if good vs. evil is really that black and white a picture.
Art was very well done and the music was decent throughout. However, the heart of the anime lies within its characters, who account ofc for the comedic aura throughout the 13 eps, yet also introduce several interesting dynamics that form interesting scenes within the anime. Definitely a good watch, and would recommend it for anyone seeking a comedy if they haven't seen this yet.

Either way, I'm hopeful for another 2 years. This series deserved another season

Wonder if this trend of waiting a few years for very hyped/popular anime is just the industry trying its hardest to keep making a few bucks before it is forced to release a S2 ;/
But yes, I'd like to see a S2 potentially in the future, however this anime did end pretty decently I will say.

yeah animation and art has improved throughout the years but it still feels like their budget is in the bin. I can't tell if the producers are making profit at this point.
