What is best way of securing these from recovery?
Or is practically impossible to keep it 100% safe from recovery?
I've got a few ideas on what I should do, but I don't think it's enough.
-Family view pin
-Phone verification
-Steam Guard (obviously)
-Buy from seller who sells original email + key - What if this isn't an option?
Thank.
Remove hl1 package
Someone told me to do this awhile Ago, not sure if it works though
You should buy a Game Key and use it on that Acc, then if the Support asks you can give that Key to them.

wont work trust me
if you have a gift sent to your account via someone on steam support normally ask for that secondly after asking for the original email.
Have been successful every time someones tried to recover an account from me with that.

but be careful if ur mom uses the computer she will see it
what u can do is go to properties and make the file hidden she wont see it if u do that... i think blackshades owner used this method n everythin was ok
You're off topic.

Nope. Doesn't work. Some random did that on his 3-digit thinking he discovered fire.

Nope. You've only been successful once and that is not because of you.

There is only one way to recover a very old, hijacked, bought steam account. And if you think hard, you just may find out what it is. It has nothing to do with futile purchases, manipulating support or any other garbage method. The same method can be used to recover old accounts in the first place, before re-selling them. 🤝
@OP, your best bet in your case is to buy an empty 7-digit from early 2004. If you need help with it, just send me a message.

Best way to keep your account fully secured its owning original key that has been used to create account in 2003\2004. Removing hl1 or just first game wont help you at all. Support still will ask for proof of purchase of first game.
If you'll saw Burton J. in your support ticket then just close it and forget about your account.
Add tons of tons of money with your creditcard and stay on the same IP.

If you don't change the email then people can easily find out what the email is.

Depends on the account and what name was first registered in vacbanned[dot]com. People can find login anyways, your opinion is invalid.
Have to have your old Half-life CD key and send them a pic.

I bet 1% of the people who are the creators of a legit 12 year account own the half life cd key.
