Hi there, I recently bought a new EVGA GTX 960 SSC along with an EVGA 500W PSU and am experiencing crashes in almost all the games I have tested so far. The game launches fine, get into games and can go for about 3-5 minutes usually before it crashes to the desktop. I have found this so far with:
In games of Overwatch I can see my GPU temp and VRAM which never goes above 72°C although the VRAM fluctuates between 950-1156MB which seems strange as it is a 2GB card. Could anyone shed some light on the matter? Is this just due to textures being used or is there a potential problem with the GPU?
I've uninstalled and cleaned my previous drivers using Guru3D DDU twice to no avail. The GPU is plugged into the PSU using the full 8pin plug and the rest of my build is as follows:
Processor power has all 8 pins plugged in although when I had my old PSU only four were plugged in; I had no 8 pin plug on the old one. Should I have 8 or 4?
Should note that the computer runs absolutely fine when not running any games.
Thanks for the help, appreciate it.
