Require Proof of Funds for Giveaways

I don't know if anybody cares but the Giveaways section should require proof of funds if you're giving away money. There's a thread currently by a new member (last month) that is giving away $500 after starting the thread with only like 20 posts. I know fake Giveaways closes your account (or a short ban, can't remember); it feels suspicious that somebody would join a website and a month later give away $500 to its users.
I don't think it'd be necessary in my opinion.
At the end of the day, if you enter and it turns out the giveaway was fake, a punishment will be given to them.
But if it turns out there are a lot of fake giveaways, then maybe.

Better off would be to require proof of payment after the giveaway ended.

Yeah the transaction ID would help out, agreed.
I don't get how this would help with anything.

Please explain the problem that we have.

People posting contests and not paying out but saying they did etc
Maybe a middleman for giveaways that would get the funds and then send them out when the giveaway ends.
not needed.

if u feel like the giveaway never happened or is fake pm staff or omni and they will then take action if the user cannot show proof that he paid the winner.

as a user got closed a week ago for holding a fake giveaway.

no one is that trusted on here. members arent gonna trust someone else with there funds cause as soon as they realize they have x amount of money there actions are gonna change.
I agree with it somewhat but it would just be a hassle. I have just started doing giveaways and have not posted proof of my funds. I have only upgraded 2 users as of now so I have not put all that much money into the site yet. I hope there is something we can do to weed out all the fake giveaways.
Are you joking?

A gift is a gift, even if the giveaway was faked or falsified are you going to bully the rest of the legits? Are you going to ban knives because mama cut her finger, no..

Well boy oh boy, look who shit the bed. :p
Nice research Sam.

OT; I support this idea to an extent.. I like the MM idea, i'm sure certain people are trusted enough to handle the funds, and the OP can deem someone worthy, if members dont trust said MM, then they dont have to enter. Simple.👍
I just browse the forum and buy shit here and there :)
Not an issue that needs solving in that way if you ask me.

Most contests are legit, that's what matters.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.
I feel like this isnt a big enough issue to deal with as well as it would be very easy to make fake proof with a simple inspect element picture

There are so many contests which go on forever because there is no end date, it's stupid.

Absolutely true. Support.

the reason this happens is because people open contests without having the funds to pay out the winner so goes on forever.

only thing i saw omni said on it is that he would require the winner to be posted instead of users claiming there was a winner and closing thread
