For the passed couple of weeks, I've noticed that without charging my laptop, my screen flickers black. Almost like the cable cord is barely plugged in on a tv. When I then charge my laptop, it will stop flickering but it doesn't charge my laptop, it stays 57% (what I am seeing right now) "Plugged in, not charging". Few days ago, I reinstalled my operating system (win 10, wiped out everything, clean install) When it was finally done, I don't see any other programs on my laptop except for the Recycle Bin and IE. Usually, I would see a bunch of applications on my screen. Something is fishy and doesn't sound right.
Willing to use TeamViewer too if necessary.
Thanks in advanced! 🤝

It's because you reinstalled your system lol. Have you tried replacing the battery and DC Adaptor?
If you reinstall your system, then your C:\ drive will be wiped bud.

Oh wait, I don't think I'd actually wiped out everything though, just reinstall my OS.

Then clicked on "remove everything" like personal files, etc.

Are you sure? Because that sounds weird for me. I thought you reinstalled your OS and move to Windows 10

Edit: Also I remember a few months ago, I think I messed around with my graphics card or something. Changing from my AMD to HP or something.

Yeah that's exactly what I did a few days ago. I already had Windows 10 before, just wanted a fresh OS like I've done before many times.
sounds like more hardware issue than software issues

Yes, this is most likely. I think I screwed up my graphics card settings. Not sure how I can fix this again though, I mean getting it back to where it was before using AMD. I am currently using Lenovo Y40 too by the way.
I'd like to still solve the reason(s) why my laptop won't charge when plugged in.
Did the screen flickering when the laptop is not charging issue stop?

The screen flickers when I am not charging my laptop. Usually when I run any program, it'll start flicking constantly. Sometimes when I am not running anything too also. The issues stops when I am plugged in (the charger) but it's not actually charging at the same time.
Yep, that's a hardware problem. How long have you had the laptop?

Honestly not that long, probably about a year and half maybe?
Reinstall your system and recheck your hardware

So should I do Advanced Startup because that's what I believe I did before.

As for your flickering screen issue, that could be related to you playing around with your graphics card earlier; what exactly did you do that you can remember?
For the issue with our battery the fact that it is plugged in, means that your battery is most likely not the issue; and it could be a software issue.
Try this:
1. Start --> "devmgmt.msc"
2. Expand 'Batteries'
3. Right click Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery and click uninstall
4. Right click 'Batteries' and click 'Scan for hardware changes' or alternatively reboot your laptop
