Okay so I wanted to do this when I was at 10,000 posts as well but Omni pruned the SST subforum and I didn't reach 10k posts. It's alright though, I really don't care.
Being on these forums for what, 5+ years now, I really learned a lot. Never really mastered a skill but picked up a few things here and there related to computing and reverse engineering and whatnot, which I still use.
I found out about HF when I teamviewered a friend back in May 2011 when he wouldn't tell me about HF (cause it was too blackhat apparently), so I teamviewered him and sneakily checked his history and saw HF, and then he proceeded to rage which was hilarious haha. The member in question is Cyber Security, who I know IRL.
Fast forward a few months, I mainly browsed the Social Engineering and Human Manipulation Forum and the Remote Administrative Tool subforum. The processes involved in human manipulation always stuck out to me, enticing me to do a minor in psychology in university. The RAT subforum was always fun to browse, seeing members asking basic questions back in the day "how to set up cybergate" even though there were hundreds of tutorials in the subforum. I had my own RAT set-up thread which did get some traction and I helped users to set up cybergate/darkcomet RAT's and port-forward and crypt.
I then took a hiatus from HF for a couple months as I got bored of HF. I joined a few other forums but later on something pulled me back towards HF and I've been here since (around 2012/2013).
Around mid-2013ish, I mainly just lurked/shit-posted, while browsing tutorials for a wide array of subjects. This was when I started learning SQLI and using Havij. Browsing through tutorials, I learned manual SQLI and became proficient at it, removing my need to use Havij, and I've never went back.
I didn't really do much on HF except for shit-post and make a few friends here and there (shoutout to you guys later).
As for groups, I rate Kingpin as the best group for obvious reasons 🤝
Have to say Red Lions is my second favorite as they have a stigma of being very HQ, with Royalty coming third, as I liked the content posted by them and their userbar.
I've never been a groups person on HF, been in 3 groups over 5 years, partly cause it's literally rep4rep/bump4bump groups. I haven't stayed in any of the 3 groups for over a week as the ones I have been in (Enigma, Nightmare, Royalty) serve little to no purpose. I miss the old days when MRT/the GFX group took on members to train and teach them. Now its more of a shitfest everywhere.
As for staff, I don't like any of the current staff (KoH, Sam, Skorp). Omni does an amazing job running this forum, even with all the shit he gets from members (open/banned/closed), so shoutout to him for that. Omni's actually a reasonable member if you aren't an idiot and if you're straight up.
Now for shoutouts to members.
indecisive enough: For being a brother to me tbh
Minimalist: Tbh thanks for Uber, I won't ever change my user title. Never talked to you back in 2013, but we got tight this year.
Akzius: We've had out ups and downs, but you're easily one of my favorite members
Raymond Reddington: For helping me with all my SQLI/hacking needs and teaching me what to do.
Cyber Security: For showing me these forums
mark leonardi: You're fun to talk to and it's always fun learning stuff from you
vurezo: Seen you around since like forever and we started talking this year. Easily one of the nicest guys on these forums no questions asked
Skeetz: Been talking to you quite a bit, and you're a good friend
RadarHW: For being my business partner
Yeah, think that's it. Thanks for 2000 days Omni, let's hope I get 2000 more.
