Is paypal starting to protect sellers from chargebacks |

Family/friends (harder to chargeback without unauthorized payment claim) Goods/Services (easier to do) Virtual Items (not protected by PayPal) Physical Items (protected by PayPal) Physical Items which are described properly but delivered other than excepted but still according to the "ad" (protected by PayPal) etc. I could write a list of things / "situations" that PayPal would protect the seller. Yet some people take advantage of PayPal's Terms and chargeback without knowing that they will not get their money back. So I assume, in your case, you just got lucky with whatever you did/sold. Don't espect PayPal to cover your ass, many people trusted in PayPal with their legit exchanges / sales and got hurt 🤝 (Nov 19, 2016 06:28 AM)Orgy Wrote: They've always tried to protect sellers from chargebacks. Many times they even credited my account even though I lost the chargeback. Correct, yet take a look at some of the victims here from Exchange scams and they still won't get their money back. So yes, PayPal tries to protect sellers, yet they aren't always "trying" as hard as they should be. The problem is that they can't ALWAYS protect them. Sometimes people use hacked accounts or other things. If people would call up PayPal and push it, though, they can almost always get a credit if its a CC chargeback

The same with those false "unauthorized payments" which caused a lot of issues at HF (as well as other sites, trades and sales). I have to say the support is good, but it could be better. Not allowed to talk about it here, but they helped me in the past, not always, but when they did I was extremely satisfied.
