Made these guys using some old diodes and the shells of some shit flashlights there using acryllic lens right now so the on time isnt great but still fun.

Depends on the quality parts and generally what you want to do with it the diodes im using right now have a shit focal point so at long range its like a spot light but you could make one for around 60ish bucks so ide imagine buy one for 75$ these ones cost me like 30$ now that i think about it.....but that was having the cases using lq parts and no heatsink hmu sometime ill make you one if you have safety glasses

It wouldnt generate enough hrat to bother a lithium battery and the surface is mostly reflective so most likely wouldnt burn it.
