UPDATE: THIS HAS ALL BEEN CLEARED UP, READ THE FIRST 2 PAGES OF THIS THREAD TO LEARN WHAT AN AMAZING SCAM SOME GUY PULLED OFF BY IMPERSONATING NOT ONE...BUT TWO USERS.

TL;DR Someone impersonated me and impersonated another user making it look like I scammed them, and used the on-site https://hackforums.net/verifysecret.php tool which is supposed to prevent scams.

More detailed summary of what happened

Basically what happened was
Scammer contacted me via email acting as [b]xjath.
The scammer asked me to PM xjath saying "It's me" to make it look like xjath was really talking to me.
At the same time the scammer was impersonating me talking to the real xjath.
After that the scammer created a fake Skype of xjath and added me on it, while at the same time the scammer used email to talk to the real xjath.
Scammer got xjath to use the https://hackforums.net/verifysecret.php on ME.
Then on the scammers fake skype account of xjath, he talked to me, and got me to use the verifysecret feature to confirm the code, which he showed to the real xjath via the account he was impersonating of me.

At this point, xjath had no reason to believe the impostor of me talking to him was an impostor because the HF Secret was verified, so he went ahead and sent the impostor 1 BTC and got scammed.

Yeah we figured that out, Keon was impersonating 'xJath' emailing 'Cryptic'. While Keon was also impersonating 'Cryptic' emailing 'xJath'. It is complicated but makes sense once you break all of the evidence down. I have already gotten proof that the bitcoin address he sent the money to is linked to this Keon user and that the email is linked to the Jarvis user.

At no point did I provide him any way to directly send me payment.
I told him to pay through my site which uses Rocketr for payment processing.

Oh and he never ended up purchasing my eBook or VPN...

I always conduct deals on site and I don't use discord (I did a few months ago when Synergy had one but we stopped using it months ago)

He also emailed xJath at the same time aswell but, with a different email account. It was [email protected], if you search that email on HF it was linked to somebody named Jarvis_Al. The BTC address he sent the money to was "3N1jL5wGyiXVc4nAiaddg831EmX1kXjQDZ". and that is linked to the user named "Keon". It is very hard to explain what exactly happened through text as it is just such a massive scam with so much proof. Resolve what? If Cryptic is indeed scamming you, and since it's BTC, you are not going to get anything back. If Cryptic was scamming, it would have been a bigger scamming spree, an exit scam.

That's not what the emails say. But then again, the emails don't look like you. You supposedly contacted Cryptic for a service 'you' never used. Are you unable to see what the point of that was? The person who impersonated you wanted for Cryptic to use the secret message; that way, the scam that was pulled off against you would seem like it's Cryptic, that way, you would pin it down on him and you wouldn't doubt doing the trade in the first place with someone as trusted as Cryptic.

You're not getting your money back and there is nothing to solve. If Cryptic has never listed the address [email protected] anywhere on his sales threads, this makes no sense in the first place.

I can share emails, over 100 emails of me going back and fourth and something didn't add up. But since Cryptic was a trusted member I went against my instincts. I apologize for the accusation Cryptic, and I understand that I'm not getting my money back. Keon was impersonating me sending emails to Cryptic asking for services. He was also impersonating you Cryptic, emailing me.
