COMPUTER PROFESSOR FEEDBACK THREAD
I'd like to start out by saying I am going to be doing this feedback thread a little different, and there probably will be grammar errors. I won't go 100% arsekissing, and I prefer everyone to read while being unprejudiced. I know that is a lot to ask the internet to do. On top of the not going 100% arsekissing; I also will be reviewing only what I feel I can review. I won't review shit I don't know anything about or stupidly little that I am arsekissing or belitting about without any knowledge in that topic. Naturally people will disagree or agree with me. I'll accept any comments in this thread asking any questions about my thread. Lets get started!
ABOUT THE COMPUTER PROFESSOR
First off this is my story. I doubt anyone really cares, but for that one person who cares here it is. Back on the Forth of July in 2011 I joined Hack Forums. I was upset about something that day and I decided to join to see what this site was about. I was watching Hack Forums since 2009, but never joined until 2011. Quickly within less than a year I started to hang out in the Computer Overclocking, Customizing, and Hardware section. Also known as the COCH section by many of us that hangs out there. I part took in some group projects and one of them got sticky and still is sticky to this day. I created a thread along with a bunch of other members at the time for PC builds with over 1,800 posts. Many people try to recreate that thread but failed. I was for 6 months inactive until early 2015. I've been in multiple groups but I never really fitted well in any because normally I would be the only COCH guy and they would end up sticking someone who knew little about computers with me and I would have to teach them even though I was a lower rank. The last group I was in was brotherhood. I will be reviewing myself in this thread so if you want to read more go look in there.
HACK FORUMS USERBASE
I am impressed by how much it improved over the years. In 2011 it was a cataclysm. People would post garbage all the time it seemed like, until sometime around 2015 when I came back from a selfban, that is when I noticed that HF has for a lack of a better term "matured". Something changed because when I left there was a shitstorm happening and when I came back it was much better.
COMPUTER PROFESSOR
I really like myself, but I do notice the problems I have when I am on this site. Once in a while I end up drinking everclear and I try to help members or even Omniscient one time. Omniscient ended up telling me to change my name which was very humorous. I digress though. I use to contribute a bunch back in 2012-2014, but now I mostly help users with older/old computers or trying to find members a budget computer. I also do benchmark videos and post them up to show what older hardware can do so members can see that older computers can still do what they need them to do. I use to contribute in new PC builds and many other stuff such as information threads, but gt403cyl has the computer builds covered now pretty good. As for the information threads those take weeks on end and the ones we have are mostly fine in the coch section. The one thing that I probably should improve on myself is start hanging outside the coch section more. I have over 12,000 posts in the coch section.
OMNISCIENT
I remember when you said Hack Forums is going to change people lives. It did end up getting me knowledge and getting me a job for 2 years of very high pay for my age. Until I left for college which is another story I will get into if I decide to leave. I really admire what you done mostly. You have successfully created Hack Forums, and I know you probably have some stress while on Hack Forums. You manage to enforce rules even though you have staff to do it. Many people claim for you to be unfair, but I don't think so. The way I see Hack Forums, is that its a business. You want some nice awards give some money. Another thing is that if you were as rude as people claimed I would of had consequences. There few times I PM you, and I remember that comment about the Computer Professor username. Lastly I remember this thing for Web Browers and I was debating that it should not implicated because there are members who don't use Google Chrome or Firefox. I am pretty sure if what people say about you is true I would of been gone already.
ENTIRE STAFF OTHER THAN OMNISCIENT
Normally I would of set you guys in groups but I know you guys far less than even Omniscient. I love how you guys clean up a lot of Hack Forums. I've noticed a lot of sections are clean, but I wish you guys would patrol the Computing section more. We have members who ask software questions in the hardware section which belongs in some other subforum. We had a member who posted a picture of a grown man naked having a bowel movement which took 9 hours to remove. Anyway keep improving, and keep up the good work.
THE BROTHERHOOD
This is the only group still active that I've been in, and the only review I am doing for groups because I won't know what to talk about for other groups. The members here knows one another pretty well. I was mostly an outcast in the group though. In time the group fall apart from something that I am not sure if I am allowed to talk about. It seemed to come back though. I don't have much to say other than you guys did good when it was in its heyday, and when I came along for the ride I was by myself because I was the only one out of the COCH section. My recommendation for that is try to get more than one person that have the same interests.
