So, I just finished Clannad (Probably going to start Afterstory tomorrow).
I don't know why, but I don't completely understand all the reviews. I mean, it was good, and I really want to like it, but I just didn't get the feelings everyone was talking about. It was well done and all, but other RomComs just had a way bigger impact on me.
Did I miss something? I want to love it, but I just don't in a super special way. What did those of you who watched it think?
Never watched Clannad myself, apparently it's the saddest anime out there besides Your Lie in April, but I doubt that it's that sad. Angel Beats made me really emotional though. In only 13 episodes as well

I just don't get that, as much as I want to. Some of the characters have tragic pasts that catch up with them, and it really is sad, but Your Lie in April for an example is far sadder, and made me feel a lot more emotional when I watched it.

Clannad itself isn't sad, it's After story that'll give you the feels

I noticed Clannad has a significantly lower rating than Afterstory on MAL too. Do those who found Clannad average often find Afterstory better?
It took me a few tries to finish Clannad but after starting After Story, ohh buddy, you're in for a serious change of pace.
Trust me, After Story is way different than Clannad. It will take your opinion of Clannad on a fancy date on a restaurant and then proceed to take it home and screw it's brains out.

Shiigatsu wa Kimi no Uso was not half as sad as Clannad. Incredibly overrated show.
