[Tut] How to Change Your IP Address with a Netgear Router

Hello I'm Qean, and today I will be showing you how to change your IP address (dynamic) on your Netgear router. Let's get into the tutorial.

Step 1
First you go to Routerlogin.net
The Username should be "admin" and the password should be "password", unless you change it

Step 2
Next it should bring you to this screen, click on "Basic Settings"

Step 3
Scroll down to the Router Mac Address section
"Use This MAC Address" should be checked
Next change just one number from the text box on the right. Then hit "Apply"

Step 4
Soon after you click "Apply" you will see a blue loading bar
You must wait for this loading bar to complete loading

Wait until it disappears, and it will disconnect you from the internet
Now just go to your Netgear router and unplug the power cable to just the router
Then reconnect the wire after about 10 seconds

Step 5
Now when your router reboots and reconnects to the internet your IP address should be changed

Thanks for reading, and enjoy this TuT. I wish you the best : )
Thank you alot bro, I really needed this right now XD
i made a video on youtube on how to do this on a belking router and a netgear router
many times all you need do is turn router off and on again. lots of ISPs by definition re-issue dynamic IP address with each router power cycle......but I suppose this is one way of forcing the issue if u really need to...thx.....
You could also change the last number of the Mac Address to change IP.
Works even while getting DDosed.
Had the same router.
