My Email to Friends and Family

Usually when I'm around friends and family I start to talk about cryptos. It's always a bit difficult to get them to understand how important they are and how they are going to change the world. By the end of it I just tell them to do their own research and that I'll email them to get them started. This is the email I send and I thought to share it because maybe other members have had similar situations.

Quote:If you're more interested in learning more about "crypto currencies" I'm going to do my best to break a few things down to you and provide you some important links for research.

1. http://coinmarketcap.com Website provides data for the values across the various exchanges and includes historical data.

2. https://www.coinbase.com This is where a regular person would be able to buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum. It's a US based company with a long history and is very stable and trusted. It is the Paypal of crypto currencies.

3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptocurrency Wikipedia page for quick description but some of it might be beyond average persons understanding.

4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ultLPNj-a8Y Video to describe Bitcoin for beginners. Realize it's 4 years old though and doesn't fully explain everything current going on.

5. http://www.coindesk.com This site is an excellent source of current news concerning cryptos. This site should be a great base to read articles around the web.

6. http://ethereum.org My personal favorite is Ethereum and this is their official website.

Those links should be more than enough to get a person started. Enjoy the read.

Of course you may want to edit it to suit your own views and sites you favor.
Thank you very much, it's all ahead to the top of future! Here we go!
Might send this to my grand-dad now. He seems fairly set in the mind set that you don't OWN your bitcoin and it could go at any time, I've tried explaining that its cryptographically secure but he ain't buying it.
In the near future we all gonna use crypto currencies as main currecies and this info is really useful.
Nice share!
Wow, this is a really helpful post. The crypto section has been blowing up lately, hopefully, it will help!
Simple and to the point. I agree with you 100%, cryptos are the future.

That's cool of you to do Omni.

Hopefully more people will send this to people too.
Very useful! I've been trying to explain the importance and potential in cryptocurrencies to my pretty technically unable family so that's perfect! Nice one Omni
Thanks, Omni. I'm actually in the same exact situation so i'll be using this.
Nice little info nugget, I will definitely use this for future references to the crypto market. I still have a hard time explaining this to my father. I'm telling him it's the way of the future and that paper money will soon be a thing of the past. He always tells me I'm wrong and that he still gets his cable bills on paper 😏

Thanks again for the share though, going to tweak it a little and send it out to some of my close friends.
Definitely useful, makes it easier for me. Like you said "maybe other members have had similar situations." is exactly where I fall. I wouldn't want them to miss out.
Im no professional but I will always give honest advice.

Bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered.

Yes, I get the same issue in discussions and repeatedly asked if it's insured or government backed. I bluntly tell them "NO" and then ask them if gold is government backed or insured. The same market forces that keep gold at a set prices also work with cryptos.

And funny enough sometimes they think I'm personally trying to sell them something and make money from them in some way.

The whole thing takes a lot of convincing and discussion but ultimately you must force them to think about it and do their own follow-up research. You'll never convince someone in 15 minutes to invest in fantasy online coins they can't hold in their hands. It's just not going to happen.

I say that too...that I can't imagine in 20-30 years we'll have printed money anymore. I can tell they get the look like I'm some fringe nut ready to go into my bunker.

Is this coin made by you?
Thank you for this, I will definitely put this to use for family members that can't grasp what cryptos are.
