So some of you may have heard of it, there's a new client out there called OSHD and it does exactly what you think and it scared the fucking shit out of Jagex.
Why would they care? Because OSBuddy makes insane profits and they obviously have a deal with Jagex. So the last thing they want is to pull users away from OSB/main client.
So how are they preventing people from using OSHD? Simple, warn people that it might trigger their anti-bot detecting system and then ban the most famous YouTuber on RS knowing he'd make a video about it. 🤣
Dick move but genius from a business perspective.

Which would have been fine imo if they would have released the client for free without a pro version. Now that they're profitting from someone else's property they sure as hell will get a cease and desist.

A friend is pretty close with Jagex these days.
They have to make money so they will scare users away from it while OSBuddy works on implementing the same features.

HIGHLY doubt the video is scripted. If it was A Friend would probably not call it weird or suspicious in the comments or whatever it was he typed.

I'm glad that I don't care so much about OSHD, I can see how upsetting it is to some people as it's central to their nostalgia around RS. I'm not sure if I'd use it or not, as I like the old school graphics. Some things are undeniably better about the new graphics but I really like the old ones too. What I hate is how badly the interfaces port into resizeable mode.
Anyway on topic I think Jagex will do this at some point because they said resizeable would be impossible and they got that done really quick.
