I would like to put forward the idea for a product review section that doesn't show in view new posts and makes it clear the views on each product are the users personal opinion and hold no ground against the products.
Product review section |

At the top of each thread there should be a large image reading "This is a user review of a product, the views below are not shared by Hackforums staff and admin - always use the marketplace at your own risk"
Would stop the Marketplace Discussions section from being spammed so would be nice. Also, promotes people to actually provide real reviews and helps those out looking to purchase said products/services.
The only thing I can see wrong with this is, is there enough threads for this to need its own section currently? Also, that should be a given, on every single review ever, regardless of subject matter.
Would be interesting to have a review section, we have a website showcase section which also(can be) used for website reviews. I wouldn't mind seeing a section for eBook reviews. The only worrying thing is when eBook owners get their friends to vouch for their eBook and create a thread talking about how it works etc etc. While of course none of the reviews is to be taken as 100% accurate, it could add more 'confusion' for new users who read these fake reviews to further influence them to buy these products.
Even with the above thought, I hate moving as slow as the slowest person, it'd be cool to have a section, would be even more interesting if we had a special 'review database' where people can do a search by thread/uid to find all reviews for a persons eBook? Let's await the response from a staff member first though.

Yes, and it doesn't need to be -official- (like reviewers group in the past)
Just a section where everyone leaves their Reviews of products. (Jun 26, 2017 04:39 AM)sonex Wrote: What is stoping people from paying one another to post a good review? Man, don't hide the fact that 90% of the vouchers on Money Making Methods are non-valid and just posted by friends and buddies. Same goes with guides, programs and everything else. We are breaking the ice by providing detailed reviews, which are honest. 🤝
