I am in the process of making a massive guide to email marketing but for now ask me any questions.
Who am I? Well I have a little over 4 years experience in the email marketing realm, looking to help people turn people who visit into potential sales or dedicated fans to your brand.
People who think email marketing is dead or pointless, leave this thread.

How much mail do you send each day? Do you use services like GetResponse and Aweber to mail or do you have your own server?

It depends - if say I'm sending millions of emails monthly I'd just pay a service oppose to building my own infrastructure at that point I'd need to hire multiple people to manage and more. So for example I may use a service like SendGrid or Mailchimp etc.

What are you currently using with MailChimp? How big is your customer base currently?
When buying email lists is there a way to verify the quality of it? Also, do you have any guidelines on writing emails that appear friendly to the user?

Don't buy lists, simple. They are never worth it as it will get your domain blacklisted - it's very easy to grow your list orgabically. A lot of platforms allow you to easily personalize emails, personalizing is a huge thing with any email marketing it makes it feel more one to one and exclusive.
Do you have a basic outline to what your email should contain? I have a very targetted list of about 2000 people in my retail clothing niche and I wanna start utilizing them. Most of them are people who have ATC and not purchased or who have atleast spent time browsing products, while 2-3 percent are actual buyers.
My issue is that i DO think email marketing is dead or pointless. but i dont know that much about it... convince me otherwise?
