So basically, my goal is to be able to take a render of a character, convert it to a path/mask, and have an audio spectrum go around the outline of the character, similar to this: https://0.s3.envato.com/files/152139629/...90x332.jpg
If anyone could help, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I know, I was just making sure I was on the right track lol. I'll mess around in After Effects a bit today, then if I come across anything I'll be sure to let you know.

Appreciate it sir. I got something close to it by autotracing my render and having the spectrum follow the mask, but then the effects only came out of the mask anchor points. The only idea I have would be to do a custom outline and put like 500 anchor points by hand, but with what I want to use this for, I'd have to do this several times a day with different characters, and that's a ridiculous time sink.
