How do our hidden channels work?

When you first join our community you'll have access to only a small handful of channels. This is to prevent new users from being overwhelmed, and for users to pick and choose what sort of topics they'd like displayed, and to hide any unnecessary channels as to prevent spam build-up.

New users should have these channels visible, in order;
#announcements, #information, #maid-cafe, #bot-commands.

Don't be confused, we have plenty other channels available as well, it's just they're currently hidden from you!

Our current hidden channels are;
#rpg, #anime, #manga, #baka-hentai, #innuendo, #music, #politics.

More channels are on the way. We have several other channels but those are actually inaccessible unless you have very specific roles, ones which cannot be easily gained.

How would you go about joining one of these hidden channels?

Now that you understand how these roles and channels work, you should start figuring out what channels and cliques you should join!
In order to join a channel you need to go to #bot-commands and type;

.rank [channel name]

The current channel names are;

- rpg
- anime
- manga
- music
- politics
- nsfw
- innuendo

So if you're interested in joining our rpg channel you'd type out (  .rank rpg  ) in the #bot-commands channel. If you're no longer interested in that particular channel you'd just have to retype that to remove the hidden role. Being a member of these channels shouldn't ruin the layout of your ranks, and should be mostly invisible.

Are members able to moderate their own personal channels?

Now that we're able to implement these organized channels, we plan to start allowing our ace members to own and moderate their own channels, and advertising members in the #maid-cafe to join their cliques.

At the moment this isn't available, but if you believe you have a fun idea you'd like to implement, or perhaps even a new bot channel you'd like to try, send Nevieth (me) a private message. Just let me know you're talking about Baka Land.


We'll also soon use these hidden channels along with our purchasable roles, more on this soon. Remember to do !points in #bot-commands to check how many points you've accumulated, and make sure to type .shop to see what new unique colored roles you can buy to turn your profile pretty!
