Anybody have any ideas? I suck at wordpress and don't want to have to pay some Indian on Fiverr to help me out.

Killed me with this haha. Have you tried uploading it through FTP ? Sometimes the PHP configuration of the server has php_max_size and other factors that make it hard to upload your theme through the WP panel.

Check https://envato.com/blog/install-themefor...ess-theme/ it answers most questions.

Double posting because I just remembered that the Jetpack plugin can cause these issues. It's a compatibility problem.

Also here is a bit of code to go around the problem instead: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/60957/.
Let us know op.
