Editing Xorg.conf to resolve screen tearing issues with Intel graphics

I'm having some major screen tearing issues. Firefox is tearing while scrolling and video playback is terrible.

I'm running Solus 3 (GNOME) and I just installed the Intel drivers.

Code
sudo eopkg up && sudo eopkg it xorg-driver-video-intel

Now I'm trying to edit Xorg.conf in order to add a line to the "Devices" section.

Code
Option         "TearFree"   "true"

I can't find the "Devices" section with the Intel options.

Here is everything I could find:

This is what it should look like after the edit:

Code
Section "Device"
   Identifier  "Intel Graphics"
   Driver      "intel"
   Option      "TearFree"    "true"
EndSection

Bonus points if you can help me get CraveTV to work. I've already installed Flash but I'm just getting a black screen. The timeline moves but I'm not getting any audio or video.

I need a little more information --

So the device is detected and the native resolution is displaying properly, right?

If yes, I believe it's a driver issue. However, if not, I can help you force the resolution and display to appear correctly via a simple startup script.

For example, this is the script (ScrFix.sh) that I have to have run every time I log in because of the intel issues I have (external monitor, doesn't allow me to set the monitor's native resolution by default):

ScrFix.sh:
Code
xrandr --newmode "1440x900_60.00"  106.50  1440 1528 1672 1904  900 903 909 934 -hsync +vsync
xrandr --addmode VGA-1 1440x900_60.00
xrandr --output eDP-1 --off
xset -dpms

I know it's unrelated, but the 'xset -dpms' command is to keep the screen from going into auto sleep after 5 seconds of inactivity.

Im sorry I don't understand your inquiry completely but if you could explain futher, I believe I can help you.

Regards,
-M
