Is any Indian here successfully using SBI Master Debit Card on PayPal for International transactions? I've added my sbi master debit card to my paypal and it's confirmed but paypal is declining the card while making international transaction. WHY?

Are you talking about a certain country or countries? The reason for that question is because I can use my Debit Card to top up my PP balance.

you can activate International use instantly on SBI debit card by sending the following SMS: SWON INTL XXXX where XXXX is the last four digits of your card to 09223966666.

That is what I exactly did via SMS. Right after that I received an SMS from them which reads as "Your request for INTL....is processed successfully. reference no.."

Does it take 24hrs to get activated or instantly? I tried right after that sms even many times but still PayPal declined my card. Fuck it.

I am not sure if you can use Debit card for international purchases, Infact my SBI debit card never worked, I use HDFC platinum and that workks effortlessly.

You can surely use a debit card of SBI. You just need to call SBI and tell them to enable international transactions.

I doubt the Sms will do any good, try talking to the customer service.. However it's probably better to not have debit as disputes would be sorted more easier on credit cards

You can use any VISA / Mastercard in India with PayPal now but you have to change your payment billing currency from INR to USD during checkout 🙂

Mastro , RUPAY not work , else everything works fine , also your debit card must have INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTION POS enabled .
