>>> [ULTIMATE GUIDE] TRADING Cryptocurrencies + Other USEFUL Stuff <<<

Some Basic Intro:
Trading noobs go through a technical analysis cycle, First you have the plain chart, no indicators, standard everything.
Then you discover some oscillators, overlays etc.
Then you add way too many, chart looks like shit, trying to use several indicators in the hope for golden setups, no idea what any indicator does or how it is intended to be used.
Then comes the enlightening, when you find something that works well, and suddenly simplify. By that point you're probably doing better and your chart will likely be clean with only one or two indicators, that you understand. Less is more.

You can go pick any indicator, scroll back in time and find shitloads of times it works and shitloads of times it doesn't. Risk management is far more important than how you choose to chart the market. You won't find an indicator that works every time. You will lose money regularly regardless. The skill is in not losing all of your trading capital. Indicators only give you the confidence to enter, and help you plan out your bias and where you want to exit.

Quote:When in doubt stay the fuck out

Journal data will vastly accellerate noticing your own unique bad habits.
Most important is that your journal fits your style, even if it is recording voice on tape- or you won't do it.

In the end every market is always a P&D, boom-bust. The whole world might participate and central banking chairs might be the pumpers, but it's the same as a altshill on a massive scale and has the same properties/patterns.
Don't be so quick to just draw trendlines and act on them... Map out support and resistance zones and see how the price reacts in those zones.

Ok... so a big part of this game is patience.... you are never going to miss out.  Markets are always very uncertain, so it's best for the participants in a market to wait things out... see how the market is going to behave.  If you can have the patience to wait and see the bigger picture, then you can enter at the optimal time.
There are a freakin TON of crypto markets to trade... it's best to be extremely patient and wait for the best setups possible.  This way, you have the highest odds of being correct.
What people naturally do when they try to trade, is they hold losing positions and hope for it come back, and fear it going further against them. But what they should be doing is hoping for winners to profit more and they should fear being underwater.

Nodes (the users)  all validate blocks individually. When we have a set of rules (protocol) the nodes should all verify blocks in the same way. If someone changes a consensus rule, those running the changed code may or may not validate legacy chain blocks, and legacy chain nodes will definitely not validate the changed rule blocks. If a miner generates a block that the nodes on a chain reject, they've wasted time and electricity. Furthermore, if there's a fork that successfully creates two chains sharing a PoW machanism, and the coins are not the same price, they are now losing out on potential profits. Ultimately it is the market that decides the winner. Miners are free to mine minority chain blocks at a loss, but given that they can freely mine either one (all BTC forks will be SHA256) it would be foolish to do so. A problem with BTC forks is that there is a danger to the usability of chains who do not have sufficient hashrate vs the existing mining equipment. This is why altcoins create their own PoW, or in the case of ether tokens, exist on an "external" chain.  There have been SHA256 altcoins attacked to death because nobody wanted to mine them and we had powerful ASICs already.

A good example of how news affected bitcoin was the SEC ETF denial event in July, Price folded into a decent ascending triangle, then broke down on the news announcement.

Three Type of Traders:
  • Scalper/Intraday - who is flat at the end of each day.
  • Swing traders - who might hold a position for a few hours/days.
  • Position traders - who hold positions for weeks/months/years.
Then you have investors who just buy and hold forever and don't actively watch.

One of the biggest problems newer traders face is not knowing when they want to exit. They turn a scalp into a swing trade because they are greedy and want more than the market is likely to give. Those people generally end up giving unrealised profits back.
Nobody should be quitting their jobs until they've been trading for a long time consistently, with an awesome bank roll that isn't just borrowed money.
An awful lot of you guys that have made money in the last few months have only done so because you bought during an altcoin bull trend.
And when the tides turn. (and they WILL turn), you won't know what has hit you.
The second that trading changes from "cool hobby that i've made money on" to "oh god i've gotta profit to pay my rent", you're gonna fail... Hard.

SOMETHING EXTRA:
This is just for my country (Croatia). I don't know if is same for yours.
In my country where I live you can cashout ALL your BTC without paying TAX. That's right, you heard it good. Two words => Investment gold. There is no TAX on gold in my country (buy or sell).
There is site named => Moro Bitcoin  in Slovenia.
They have also company in Zagreb (capital city of Croatia) named => Moro Croatia
Then how does this go? Simple.[/b]
  • Go to Moro Bitcoin and add to chart desired Gold Bar (10g, 50g, 250g etc.).
  • Click on Basket and you will see option "Shipping". Check "Local pickup Zagreb". This means, they will transport it from their store in Slovenia to their store in Zagreb.
  • Click Proceed. There you fill up your details. Optional: Choose "Ship to a different address" if you want your order to come at door step.
  • You note them that you would cash out a gold bar at their local store when they call you to pick it up.
  • Accept terms & conds. => Place Order and you will be redirected to bitpay where you pay with your bitcoins.
  • After you paid, wait for your order to come in their local store in Zagreb. They call you on phone to pick up order.
  • You exchange gold bar for money and that's it. You got your cash without tax.

Example: You buy 1000g Gold Bar for 36.000 €/268.000 HRK (Croatian national valute) = You sell 1000g Gold Bar for 260.500 kn/35.000 €. Your only loss is 1k € equal to 2.5-2.7%
If I would cash out BTC directly on credit card or through PP, I would have to pay 30% TAX which is insane.
Better 2.5% 👍
There is international delivery so you can choose from 200+ countries.

Some Basic Intro: PART 2

I'll just mention too, after a huge bitcoin move ( like today 12.10.2017. ) price quickly becomes a total warzone of crazy wicks, tends to turn into a triangle over time, this is where most people who made money on the way up or who missed the main move get milked of all their profit, trading huge moves in one direction is fairly easy but afterwards is verrrrry difficult and most of you will do well to stay away until it dies down a bit.

I'm kinda getting into the backbone of my entire strategy here so I'll keep it simple, I focus on price levels defined by the areas of high volume within the previous few days, because price always comes back to those areas. They line up with "order blocks" that a lot of traders I know use.
It's all different paths to the same end.
Indicators like vwap aren't magic profit machines, they are a tool to help you define the landscape.

UPDATE (18.10.2017.):
So back in the day, crypto nerds with no financial background setup exchanges and other trading sites, where "leverage" actually DOES work as a multiplier. To my knowledge today only http://1broker.net operates this way. I think OKC used to as well but I was a noob then and have no idea how OKEx works today.

The way margin/leverage works in the "real world" and the way it works on http://bitmexfutures.net and http://simplefx.online is that your leverage specifies your margin requirement. Let's say BTC is $5000 and you want to go long or short 5000 $1 contracts on 1x. This would mean you must have 1 BTC collateral to open this position. Now, you change the leverage to 2x. This does absoluetly nothing to what you might gain or lose- you will gain/lose what 5000 worth of contracts will gain/lose, regardless of what leverage you select. Changing your leverage does two things. First, the collateral the exchange requires from you is now half of what it was, 0.5 BTC instead of 1. This would now allow you to open a SECOND lot of 5000 contracts, at which point you now would be affected by price twice as much as your previous position. Your same 1BTC collateral can now command twice the amount of contracts- 2x, but you must actually get into the position further if you want more exposure- changing the slider alone won't do it. This can be especially handy if you would like to open positions on multiple coins, using the same collateral. The other thing changing your leverage does is adjust where you will be margin called. If you went all-in with your 1BTC on 2x @ 5000 (10k contracts) you would now experience twice the price exposure. If the price moves against you, there will come a price at which you would actually owe the exchange money, in this example, that would be ~$2500. In the "real world", the exchange has your tax ID and will sue you. In Bitcoinland we can't do that, so the exchange has no option but to attempt to liquidate your position on your behalf in order to avoid operating a fractional reserve. It does this at a total loss to you, regardless of if the price goes your way later. This is called a "margin call". Notice at 2x the liquidation is at a ~50% move. At 5x it would be 20%, at 50x- 2%. How many 1% moves did we make today? Hopefully you can see why 100x (on isolated margin) is absolute foolery.

Cross margin plays with your whole stack and allows positions on different contracts to offset one another, potentially helping avoid (or accelerating) being margin called. Isolated margin gives each position it's own margin call, but protects the rest of your stack from loss since you are "not playing with it".
