Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong section, or if its been answered, but does HF not ban scammers? Is the entire process just filing a deal dispute, inputting it into the deal dispute database and thats its? Or am I missing something?

HF never gets involved with deal disputes/bans people for any scams they do, every deal is at your own discretion.

Staffs do not ban scammers, directly, no. All deals made here are on your own risk.

Sometimes Omni will step in if they are a repeating threat to the community or marketplace but that is on rare occasion. Just make sure to ALWAYS deal with caution. GL out there.

Scam Reporting
The Scam Reports section is designed to alert other members of scammers. It also can serve to help resolve an issue between members. We can't get your money back or force a member to complete a deal. Do not PM staff. Our staff on occasion will ban a scammer, if the evidence is on site and apparent. If you got scammed, we would appreciate it if you report the scammer by making a thread in the scam reports section, with the following content:
Link to the scammers profile. This is to prevent confusion if a username change occurs.
Link to the thread in question if it exists, where you may have been scammed.
Search Scam Reports area for any existing threads with the scammer. Search by username and also uid. If everyone adds the users profile then UID will be very effective. Include such threads if found.
Post any images/screenshots (or videos perhaps) that you can provide as evidence of the scam. Include short explanation for every image.

I advise you to read through the Help Documents before posting other things around the forum.

As far as I read, HF bans people who don't follow policies and rules of hf. Though they dont take any responsibility of deals made here or outside through here. Correct me if I am wrong.

unfortunately they don't ban but I think if staff start banning them maybe that's how we can prevent scamming on forum? i could be wrong but just saying

They ban them every now and then. No marketplace tolerates scammers but they always rejoin.
