Scanned 60% of the Internet for port 22, results!

I've performed a mass scan of the Internet for IP addresses that have port 22 open. The reason I only scanned 60% of the Internet was due to the fact I was getting quite a few abuse reports from my VPS provider. I've grep and sorted the text file just to have IP addresses.

So you can parse this data into any brute forcing tool you wish and enjoy the spoils.

You actually think you scanned 60% of the internet?

A normal world scan on port 22 is about 250-300mb ish

Yes.

PHP Code

Yes the proof is in the tarball gzip I uploaded to Mega.

No problem, if anything thank the creator of masscan.
Dude. This is crazy af to me that you scanned 60 p of the internet. Almost can't wrap my head around the fact that the link you shared claims it can scan the internet in under 6 minutes moving 10 million packets per second. Awesome..

The question is now: Can you try the default passwords on all their ports and make a list?

Thaaat would be useful, lol.

I might just do that. 🤝
Ahh masscan, lovely tool. This is an interesting share, though I wonder how many people here know what to do with this kind of information?

A lot. Masscan isn't just for the internet, but intranets as well. It's incredibly useful for red team ops; I haven't run into anyone who doesn't use it on red team. Hell, some blue team ops use it.
Moving on in life in such a way that doesn't include HF. HF allowed me to get into the security field and peaked my interest: I appreciate everyone's time, effort, and encouragement. If for some reason you have a means to message me outside HF, feel free to, but I won't be coming back.

I was more referring to the fact that this kind of thread was posted in the 'Beginner Hacking' section. I'm making a joke, of course, this subforum probably gets most of the traffic in the Hacking section of the site, so it makes sense to post here.

I'm starting to prefer using this tool over nmap, just for port discovery I think it beats nmap hands down, of course for reconicense nmap is to tool to use.
wow good job! I wish to be like that one day
