File too large for hard drive? [HELP]

Hey HF,

so I've been having some trouble moving some pretty big files from my SSD to my external HDD. I've looked up multiple guide on how to fix this problem and they all say that I'd have to format my HDD to be NTFS. When I checked, it was already NTFS so I'm not sure what the problem then is.

Could it be because the size allocation unit is only set to 4096 bytes? Because I've seen it happen especially with files over 4Gb's.

Is this possible to change the size allocation unit without me having to format the whole HDD?

The size of the file shouldn't be a problem for NTFS. Check the disk for errors or bad sectors.

4GB is not viable for FAT32. Strange you would comment on that precise number.
