Gravedigging has always been an issue on this site so I think it should be set up so if a thread hasn't had a reply or edit in about 6 months then it should be auto-closed to avoid randoms posting without reading and filling up the forums with more out of date junk.

Don't think it would be as easy as setting a time period, that would raise issues since I don't believe it will fit all cases.
Some tutorials are still valid after 6 months, or at least parts of it.
