So you want to stay Anonymous Online?
Hi everyone, it is ᗯitch here and this time I am bringing you a guide on how to stay as anonymous as you can possibly be while using the internet.
First of I would recommend you download the following programs to make your job much easier:
TMAC (Technitium MAC Address Changer) allows users to spoof the Mac Address of whatever network adapter you are currently using.
Firefox (I prefer to use Firefox over Google Chrome because Google logs all user data)
CCleaner (This will Remove all cookies and cache saved within your temp/browser files that could still possibly be there)
Linux's version of CCleaner (different developer but works non the less)
I am not going to tell you to download any sort of VPN as there is no way of knowing whether the VPN company provider you purchased from is Loging or not regardless of what they tell you in their ToS or Policies.
I would also recommend you recording the Model number and Manufacturer of your current router.
Step 1. Open up a Command Prompt session and find your default gateway. (ipconfig /all)
Record your default gateway along with the Mac Address you are currently using.
Step 2. Now we are going to proceed by entering the Default Gateway we just recorded into the address bar. Depending on what Router you have the Login Interface/User:Pass field will be different.
Step 3. Once you have successfully logged into your Router settings we are going to be looking for your IPv4 address. (Write this down and proceed to Step 4.)
Step 4. Once you have recorded your IPv4 we are going to head over to the WAN tab. (Sometimes it will be called Networking or Advanced Settings) We are looking for a feature called "Mac Clone" or "Set Mac". We will be entering and changing the 6th octet to something completely different while keeping the formatting the same. Press apply and wait for it to finish applying.
Step 5. When it finishes applying, unplug your router for 30-45 seconds and then replug it back in.
If you did everything correctly you should now have a new IPv4 Address.
Step 6. Close out of all your Browsers and run CCleaner to clean all the Temp Browser files along with the cache and Cookies that are being stored inside.
(Linux users can use https://www.bleachbit.org/ )
Step 7. Now we are going to Run TMAC if you are on windows, if you are on linux enter the following commands:
lshw -class network (This will show the network cards and adapters you currently have installed on your machine, Write down the Logical name(Ex. eth0, wlan0) for your active network card you use and proceed) after you found the network card's logical, name enter the following command(Be sure you are running as a root user and use Sudo):
ifconfig eth0 down - This shuts down the network card
(x = the mac address you want) ifconfig eth0 hw ether (XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX) -this spoofs the Mac Address of the eth0 network adapter.
ifconfig eth0 up - Starts your network card back up
ifconfig eth0 |grep HWaddr - outputs your new Mac Address
Step 8. You should now have a New IP Address, a new Mac Address anda fresh browser. If you would like to mask your IP and distance it from where you currently are I would recommend looking into getting some HQ private Socks5 proxies.
Socks5 Proxies are WAY more secure than HTTP Proxies. I would not in a million years recommend anyone who is trying to stay anonymous to use HTTP Proxies.
You may be wondering why Socks5 are better at staying Anonymous.
The answer to this question is simply because Socks5 are ignorant.
HTTP proxies can understand the traffic being sent from the client to the server within the HTTP protocol.
Which leads to HTTP proxies being able to see what data you were using at the said time.
Think of it like this: I am trying to Torrent a program illegally, the HTTP proxy will then able to see that I was trying to download the program illegally. On the other hand, Socks5 cannot read the data being passed from the client to the server. Socks5 Proxies use a method called Tunneling to route its traffic.
If you want to buy private Socks5 proxies, I recommend going to any of the following websites:
Oh I almost forgot, if you want to apply Socks5 to your browser (I hope you are using firefox) go to the menu bar and click tools-options-General-scroll down to Network Proxy and click settings. Then enter the Host and Port of your Socks5 Proxy.
I hope you enjoyed reading this tutorial as much as I did writing it.
