How to get administrator access on a workplace/school computer

Hey. So my school just issued out some computers to everyone, like I had no choice but to take one. Obviously their monitered and restricted by administration but I'm wondering if I'm able to bypass this and just make it basically my own? I can't change the boot options or anything in BIOS and I can't install anything thats not 'portable' or without administrator access. It's an HP laptop that runs windows 10. Let me know if you can help.
If you don't return it what happens? Will you have to pay for it? Also what if you modified it would that be an issue? Would they fine you or kick you out?

I think that you will need to do some work, a few quick ideas ..

1) If you need technical support what happens? Does someone remotely logon and provide assistance?

If that is the case you can get that passwd hash and crack it

2) Become friends with someone in the IT department, possibly get a "gf" that works there.

Basically find everything it has installed, are you able to get into powershell or cmd? what groups is your local user in ? Is it authenticating users by checking the school network if so what authentication is being used? What do the folder/file permissions look like? Are you able to install programs? Are there any orphaned exe's or dll's where you have read/write/append permissions?
You can try powerup.ps1 that will run through the most common privilege escalations.
