Had and old pc laying around stopped working about 2 years ago bought a sata usb cable tonight to read the hdd and it doesn't come up as a hdd when I view hidden it pops ups but when i click it, it says i have to insert a disk into the usb drive, been going at it for like 2 hours now googling stuff and can't find nothing on about it even in disk management i changed the disk letter and still does nothing its 1 tb hdd but it only reads it as 0 mb. If anyone knows anyway of me getting it to work as an external harddrive and also not having to erase my previous files from it please let me know below. Would really appreciate it.
