[Be CAREFUL] Coinbase Duplicate Charges of Payments via Visa Debit or Credit! READ!

I recently had this happen to me. I did some exchanges here using my visa to instant purchase funds on coinbase. I had bought about 1000 usd worth of coin and had all the charges show as duplicates on my account, froze all my funds, and caused my bank to go into the negative (negitive 1000 usd) resulting in NSF fees (Luckily bank waved these) I want to issue caution when buying funds via coinbase with your visa as you may encounter this and if you have a unsuppotive bank, the fees will be a BIT to get waived. I had to have a family member bank transfer me 1000 to prevent further NSF fees and unfreeze my account. (Embarrassing and scary) They just sent a mass email to their customers. (Including me) In the email they say they are not responsible, but do not say who is. In my eyes they are as THEY ARE THE ONES WHO EARN THE PROFIT AND AM THE ONE WHO I AM BUYING AND TRUSTING, idc where the issue lied if it was indeed with a different company or system they where using. I personally hate waiting for ACH bank transfers as they always take longer than expected. Kind of resenting coinbase right now, what do you guys think?
Edit: If it wasn't clear I'm just going to say I am really pissed. Even though I got it cleared up, it cost me hours on the phone with the bank, and caused me to have to cancel exchanges I would have done. Coinbase which claims over a billion dollars of profit last year has no reliable working phone support, and their email support sucks and takes days if not weeks to respond. They are known for sh
like this and have allogations of missing bank wires and holding ACH transfers longer so they can make interest off if it (Or somekind of profit)

Just checked all my cc/bank statements and don't see anything suspicious.
Sorry man.
Glad they banned me ages ago.... They were nothing but a headache to begin with honestly speaking.
Ugh yeah this happened to me with 3 separate $1,000 transactions needless to say I was pissed, it was pending for a week and it was really fucking with my portfolio because I was trying to invest a good bit. Luckily they’ve realized it’s an issue and are doing what they can to fix it, I called my bank after 6 days and the 7th day it fell off.
Coinbase makes me nervous sometimes with "glitches" or holds that happen. I am glad I do not use it to hold my funds otherwise I would be stressed out much more.

Made a ACH bank transfer last Tuesday. They say it takes 3 to 5 days to get transferred. And it is 1 week tomorrow -_-. Only a few hours though for the money to be taken out of my bank makes sense. Like wtf

This wasn't Coinbase's fault, it was caused by VISA.

God bless! I haven`t faced with this problem!

Bullshit. This is just CB passing the buck and blame because they already have bad customer relations.

Ever see any company this size have this type of problem? If it was Visa then why haven't they taken responsibility and explained it?

Coinbase = My favorite company to hate.
Visa did release a statement a few days ago saying that Coinbase is not at fault HOWEVER they never say who is to blame. They are talking MCC codes and a third company, Worldpay.

It’s just a company blame juggle to make sure that both Visa and CB can continue making money off of each other.

Using PayPal Coinbase as a service is a bigger investment risk than the actual coins you purchase through them.

Coinbase is the worst to deal with, I'd stay far away.

I very much agree with your statement OMNI. They are however, the cheapest fastest easiest way to buy digital currency. Also btw if you buy with a visa then try to send the digital currency, it is delayed for 72 hours if you want to speed it up, you have to resend your license pics and take a selfie (you have to have a webcam) and if its under a parents name, got to make them waist their time. And you cant do it on mobile even thought they said you can. Please die coinbase. your gay

Also notice, I had to have my parent transfer money to my account to prevent nsf fees (had one) and coinbase wont remberse me for the exessive transfer fee or nsf fee
