Almost two years later.

My story here on HackForums began on the first of April, 2016.

I was just a regular PC user. I played games, I had a tiny group of online friends I spent most of my time talking to and I didn't know a huge amount about anything really. A friend of mine had told me about this website and I thought I would check it out. I remember I spent my first few days scrolling through the marketplace, seeing all these cool and interesting products I wanted to buy but couldn't PM due to my post count and I couldn't post due to having no rep. Within a week I bought L33T. I knew from what I had seen on the forum that I was definitely going to be hanging around. Once I was upgraded I was free to roam through the Marketplace and explore. I dabbled in a bit of everything starting with a paid betting group.

I joined a paid betting group for $30 as a one time signup fee for unlimited tips. I joined the Skype group and everyone was very welcoming. I started with $200 deposited and within the first day I was up to $350. I made hundreds of dollars within that group. This definitely made me gain some respect for HF and it's users as everyone I had spoken to had been extremely nice.

From there I moved onto buying an OG Twitter account in my very first 'transaction' on HF. I bought the account from a user for $120 BTC. Through this I was also able to experience my first Currency Exchange and my very first experience with Bitcoin in general - that was exciting. I kept the Twitter for a little bit, used it for E-Whoring, made a few dollars before selling it for a small profit months later.

During this next phase I got into Twitter. I had a Nature themed Twitter with a banner I created myself. I decked the tweets from someone on HF. This entire deal taught me that just because the opportunity to do something is there - it's not always the best to take the opportunity. I also learned that the Twitter game is hard to get into and grow your account, especially in a Niche that is saturated to all hell. I probably spent a few hundred dollars on decks and HQ followers. I had a small amount of success however being able to generate several thousand followers in only a few weeks.

After the Twitter phase I started to become more active. Instead of just lurking through the Marketplace trying to find cool things to buy, I actually started to interact with the community and post on a more regular basis. I started to meet new people and engaging in conversations with people I probably usually wouldn't.

The biggest thing I have done on here and probably my biggest success would be my Currency Exchanging service. I started Buying and Selling BTC for users on HackForums at rates which would profit me. I actually made a fair bit of money doing this - what I would estimate to be close to or just above $1000. I offered competitive rates and always sold it back out for a profit. This taught me who to trust and who not to trust on here, and it also gained me a lot of respect and trust.

My first group was also an interesting experience. On the 24th of September. I was officially accepted into Nightmare!

I was actually pretty scared joining a group. I had no clue what they were, what they did or how official they really were. I quickly learned there was nothing to really be scared about. Everyone in Nightmare was super nice and welcoming. Posting and joking around in the Lounge was probably one of my favourite things to do.
shoutout to the old Nightmare guys.__________________________________________________________________________________

My next group was Socialites through which I was recommended to join from PKA. I had a lot of fun meeting some of the more respectable people that I looked up to in the community such as Steve, Froggy, Aerodactyl, Assassin and PKA. Sadly, although the group had big plans, it was short lived and ended up disbanding pretty shortly after it's creation. I kind of wish I kept in contact with some of the former group members.__________________________________________________________________________________

In summary my time on HackForums has been short but exciting. It has been filled with ups and downs, getting scammed and making thousands. I have been a part of other online communities in the past when I was younger but I was even more eager to be involved as I am with HackForums. I look forward to growing even more, meeting more people and learning what I can. It has also taught me that not everyone you meet online can be malicious as I have met some great people on here. I look forward to spending many more hours here.

Special shoutouts:
$greek - You gave me my first ever rep. Thanks!
The Grim - You chose me to join Nightmare. It has been fun meeting people within the group.
Previously Known As.... - You helped me more than any other member here has, as shown by the Gift Award I gave you. You had no clue who I was and stuck your head out to make sure I got back what was mine. I have immense respect for you even though you are now closed.
Omniscent - Obviously had to include you for this asskissing. Without you there would be no HF. Thank you for what you have done and continue to do to build a great community. You should be proud.
AsSaSs@iN - A fellow Australian and former Socialite. We had some good chats.
Eagle 95 - The first (and still only) Staff member I've had the pleasure of talking to. You seem like a real chill guy. Would love to talk to you some more.

Everyone who has used my Currency Exchange - Whilst I am no longer actively exchanging, I thank every single person who chose to exchange with me. You helped me establish myself here on HF. I hope I helped you out too.

Here's to many more years and countless more posts.
