I need some help in replacing some HTML code (with text value) with a drop-down list instead that performs the same function(s).
It should log the drop-down list selection into a .txt file as it does now with the text input.

There's no relationship between the image and the code you posted, so it's difficult to give any help. You can listen to the onchange event and capture the selection like so:
