Drug Makes Blood Deadly to Mosquitoes
Ivermectin, developed in the late 1980s, was originally used to combat the parasites that cause river blindness and elephantiasis. While I am sure everyone reading this would love to run out and get dosed up to be rid of the winged pests, this is currently only planned to be used to combat the spread of malaria. The team is reporting good results with their preliminary testing even though they need to up the dosage considerably to achieve the desired toxic effect. After taking the 600mg dosage for three days, the patient's blood remains toxic to the insects for a maximum of thirty days. They are also only currently testing on patients hospitalized with malaria, which could be masking some side effects of the higher doses. The team remains optimistic as they begin working on further testing. >>Source
Suppliment Mimics Effects of Limiting Caloric Intake
Which is a very good thing for all of our health. The scientific community has known that limiting how many calories a person takes in is good for physical health for a long time. However, that is not possible for most people for a wide variety of reasons. A study at CU Boulder has found that the supplement nicotinamide riboside activates the same pathways in the brain that are brought to life when caloric intake is limited. While they are very aware that their evidence is not conclusive, they will be spearheading further research into nicotinamide riboside. >>Source
Crunchyroll Adds "Umamusume: Pretty Derby" Anime
Last week we wrote about the new upcoming anime taking sports and idols to a whole new level. Umamusume: Pretty Derby is about girls who have the animal features of a horse. Do not worry it does not sound as crazy or creepy as it may seem. It is just cute schoolgirls with fluffy horsetails and horse ears. These girls are special due to the fact that not only will they be participating in horse races they will also be performing as Japanese school idols. It is a pretty strange combination, but the anime may kick off pretty well. There is currently a mobile application game for players in Japan, and there is no information on whether or not that will be reaching any other country. If you think it sounds weird, it pretty much is, but the racing seems like your typical race in a high school track team meet. They will not be galloping on all fours or anything weird like that. The anime will air its first episode April 1 with a one-hour episode. Those who have a Crunchyroll subscription will be able to watch it. If you are curious to see the trailer you can see a short clip here.>>Source
'Dragon Ball Tour' Event Revealed for 7 Cities in U.S., Canada this Year
A plethora of news has been announced for those who absolutely love the Dragon Ball series. A new Dragon Ball Tour event will be coming to the states this year. The first event will happen in San Diego, and the tour will be held all throughout North America. At the current time, only San Diego has been confirmed as the first stop. However, those in Canada will not be left out as there plan on being events held there too! If you are caught up in the Dragon Ball Super anime, you will know that it recently finished not too long ago. With that being said, a new Dragon Ball Super movie will be later on at the end of the year in Japan. Well, what is the event exactly? It is hard to tell considering the official website is pretty vague on that information. They just state that it will be, "the greatest of all time." If you are interested, you can hop over to the official website to see when the other locations will be announced, as well as see an exclusive trailer made for the event. >>Source
Shota Aizawa and Hero Killer Stain Join "My Hero Academia" Game
The popular action anime My Hero Academia has a new game coming to the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC that will be available worldwide and not a Japanese exclusive. Two characters have been added to the game. Shota Aizawa better known as Eraserhead and Stain will be making their appearances. So much is happening for this series, and it is great to see the success. Not only is there a new season but a new game? Wow, fans of the series cannot complain about that, right? Bandai Namco is currently working on developing the game, and sadly not much is known. From the screenshots taken from GameSpot, it looks like the game will be similar to the arcade style Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter games without the side-scrolling look and feel. Since there is no information on the game, this is not officially confirmed and is a matter of opinion. >>Source
PUBG 4x4km Map Test Begins Monday
In a past edition of the Hack Forums news, the Gaming section discussed some upcoming PUBG changes. One of those changes was the addition of a new 4x4 KM map. With that being said, players who are lucky enough to receive keys will have access to the map on a private server. The map was nicknamed, "Savage" and will make you test your true survival skills as the map is vastly smaller than the two maps you are currently used to. If you disliked the desert map, then you might want to give this a try and hope you can obtain a key yourself. No information is public on how to obtain a key. A possibility is randomly being emailed by Bluehole themselves. The testing will be a very short one and will start from the second of April to the fifth. >>Source
New Xbox One Backwards Compatible Game Available Now
You may feel surprised when you hear the latest Xbox One backward compatibility game. On March 29, Larry Hryb, who is mostly known for being the Director of Programming for Microsoft recently tweeted out that the newest compatible game is Call of Duty 4. The reason this may be a shock for people is the fact that the game was remastered only two years ago. The original game was released in 2007 and fans demanded a remastered version which was then released in 2016. To purchase the game you had to spend $80 on the special edition of Infinite Warfare before being released as a standalone game for $40. In addition, the game is on sale for $17 on the Microsoft Store. If you rather play the remastered version you can get that on sale too for $28. >>Source

If you have given up on playing Pokemon Go, you might want to take a look at this article as it may change your mind. If you were bored of the same old grind, then you are in for a treat as Niantic has big plans for Pokemon Go. The most recent update for Pokemon Go on iOS and Android allows players to partake in a questing system now. In addition, one of the most popular legendary Pokemon, Mew, was added to the game. Starting with the quest system, players will have to complete quests in order to progress throughout the game. If you are a true fan of Pokemon, you will definitely enjoy this next part. With the new quest system, there are two routes you can take. That being said, the two routes are Special Research quests and Field Research quests. If you wish to choose the Field Research route, you will be asked to visit the Pokestops around you. From there you must complete simple tasks like battling or catching a specific Pokemon that was mentioned in your challenges. If that is not something that interests you there is the Special Research option. This is great for those who want to learn more about the Pokemon themselves. Similiar to a Pokemon professor who devotes their time to learn more about the Pokemon, you will too by following the footsteps of Professor Willow. By completing the tasks in this route you will have the chance to finally meet and capture Mew. >>Source
