Tips on learning Spanish?

All I know is the alphabet and basic words. What is the best approach to learn?

All tips and advice are appreciated :).
Listen to the music :) learn the words and the songs will make sense
I would say you need a spanish speaking partner to practice often so you can absorb it well.

Also helps to see Tv shows in spanish AFTER the lesson and try to understand without the subs, a good one is "Casa De Papel"
Speak to people or watch shows and shit on spanish, if you like games you could watch gameplays of spanish people.

Have someone speak Spanish to you, watching shows and videos don't help. I've been watching anime in Japanese all my life and still don't know a word.
I just finished the series "Narcos" and it made me want to learn Spanish as well. I know a little bit but am now trying to learn more. I am always singing the theme song which I memorized. I think that watching shows in the language is great because it motivates you to learn it but I haven't really found it to actually help at all; maybe once you are very advanced you will pick up on new words. But when you don't know most of the words you don't learn much. I love the app "memrise" it is very helpful (currently learning Japanese and finishing up Spanish). Another tip is to talk to yourself throughout the day, just narrate whatever you're doing as best as you can and look up words that you want to say but don't know yet. Eventually, you will be able to say everything you need to throughout the day.
Watch things in spanish, write words you hear and don't know but like the sound :D , pretend to have a converation like instead of singing in the shower pretend you're asking for directions or what not try to think it in spanish.

You'll improve fast! Even better if you have a real person who will speak with you

1. You need a goal/motivation.
2. A partner to communicate on daily basis.
3. Possibly a book or something for vocab.
4. Time
I'm already on A2 level.

Yeah, this is exactly what I need. Would you recommend any books?

Hello Canny,

One of the best ways to learn a foreign language without a teacher is using apps. For example, if you are using a desktop/laptop, you can use a desktop app like Rosetta Stone; on the other hand, if you are using an iPhone and you want something quick and easy, you can use a mobile app like Duolingo.

Why a computer app?
-An app can use psychological techniques to motive you. For example, some mobile apps can send you a text message if you are not following your routine (10 minutes each single day).
-A desktop app like Rosetta Stone can verify if your "pronunciation" is wrong/right.
