HF has been with me through the highs and lows of the last 5 years, 4 girlfriends, 2 houses and 2 different states moving across the country because of my job and even overseas during my deployment. It’s been through it all with me and I can’t even begin to express how much I appreciate this forum for all that it is. Hundreds if not thousands of conversations, deals, all sorts of shit going on everyday it’s never a dull moment and I love it. If I’m not careful I can sink an entire afternoon into browsing HF and before I know it it’s dark out haha.
A little backstory, I’d just graduated highschool a year prior to joining and I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life just yet, I was working a dead end job at a grocery store and a friend of mine found out that if we unplug the ethernet cable on our clock in/out machine it would reset to the top of the hour so if we were late or wanted to take an extra long lunch or whatever we could exploit it. I started researching and I found HF and from that moment I was hooked and did my best to absorb as much information as I could. I’d wake up, have my morning cigarette some coffee and browse HF before I had to go to work. Eventually the grocery store went out of business and shutdown (probably because of us or at least I’d like to think so haha) so I had a huge decision to make, did I want to continue to work dead end jobs for the rest of my life or do something about it. HF motivated me to pursue a degree in computer science and then I joined the U.S. Air Force shortly after graduating, because I did ROTC I was accepted into the officer program and now do what I love and none of that would have been possible without HF. I’m now on the road to get my masters and couldn’t be more grateful.
I’ve met a lot of cool people on here over the years, too many to list and I’ve made a lot of money thanks to HF be it from coding software or investing in crypto and other things I’m forever grateful, every once in a while I’ll do what I can to support the site by buying an award or getting Omni something off of his amazon wish list simply because I can and I expect nothing in return because he’s given me the opportunity to entirely change my life who knows where I would be if it wasn’t for HF, as cheesy as it sounds I appreciate that to the fullest.
