I see almost everyday someone posting a thread with "hey i was inactive and what happend to my rep?" so I thought because this people cant research 15 seconds it would be something nice If you get a bot message with Major updates. It doesent need to be full Information just a link to the thread. This message would Come If you were like 3 months away?

Honestly, if people can't take five seconds to look through Omni's announcement threads, they're the problem.
Ub3rs in particular have often become very lazy.
Why does Omni have to cater to a bunch of stuck up ub3rs who can't take two seconds to read?
I say ub3rs including myself.
Especially in the case of reputation.
Oh gosh, you have zero reputation. USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION. It's not rocket science IMO.

Honestly that makes sense, but If people are stupid enough not to read a sticky or notable thread with updates, I doubt they will pay attention to an email 🤝
True, I haven't been on much lately. Just got on today for the first time in probably a month. Was pretty shocked, but just looked for Omni's guidance and all was well again ;)
Good idea tho, a PM or something would have been cool, at least for the rep thing. Not necessarily all the new updates, but important ones maybe.

There are stickies and I do recommend users follow HF Twitter account.

Yup, there's really alot of ways to stay updated. I've take vacation myself and I check announcement when I came back (it was regarding to the new GDPR implementation).

That's not the problem of Omni anymore.
Maybe just an info box (Like some years back with Omnis April Fools were it stated something about repfuck or something) linking to the "Rules, Announcements, News, and Feedback" sub-forum. However people should really check that sub-forum whenever they have been gone for some time.
Or a link to a help page that states headlines of updates and changes, and perhaps a link to threads. Though the people who are not bothered reading the "Rules, Announcements, News, and Feedback" sub-forum, they probably wouldn't even read that.
The problem isn't really that the information isn't there (the info is there). The problem is more people not being bothered to read or look up the sub-forums.
Anyway you got a good idea. IMO.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
HF twitter account was what dragged me back here lol almost forgot about it until it popped up in my timeline.
Have you by chance heard of the Rules, Announcements, News, and Feedback section of the forums?

I dont know If you underatand it right but im not here because I need this Feature. Its just annoying seeing everytime LQ Threads because people cant research 10 seconds.
Its just an idea which could reduce a few LQ Threads.

People who can't read and are lazy will still make LQ threads, the same reason why people make threads for a very simple google search that would answer their question in 5 seconds as the first result on google.
I agree that changelog would be nice to have since official threads can be buried with all the other stuff posted since there's no section for only announcement where no one but staff can post.
The easiest solution is this is for the users to read the Rules, Announcements, News, and Feedback section if they are away from the site for months at a time. Aside from that, the only other simple solution that I can see might be to enable it into the Alerts, so it's automatically visible to every user when they log back in.
