I go off my car's service reminder, it's pretty much what the owners manual recommends. So since I drive very little it's every year. Only thing I tend to change very frequently is my cabin filter since I live in the desert and my AC is on max almost all the time.
How often do you change your oil? |

Every 3 thousand miles, a couple times a year (+ oil filter, crush ring). Do you use a thicker viscosity since you live in the desert?
Every 3,500 to 4,000 miles I do not fall for the bullshit 7,500, 10,000 and 20,000 mile oil changes.
Oil brands: Pennzoil or Supertech. Additionally I do not recommend that you go by your vehicles service reminder always write down the mileage between oil changes. I have seen multiple times where those reminders come on to late and people don't know any better. Na fam I just use the recommended 0w-20 synthetic oil. I normally get it done at the dealership since it's the same cost as any other oil place and I live in an apartment. Else I'd happily do it myself since it's cake. Roughly $50 per change.
Every 4,000 miles. The quick-lube chains usually recommend it be done every three months or 3,000 miles, but many mechanics would tell you that such frequent changes are overkill. Indeed, most car owner's manuals recommend changing out the oil less frequently, usually after 5,000 or 7,500 miles.
I drive at high rpms all the time so I get it serviced at 2000 miles or so.
