ok - i made great amazing bots that are complex af but they do incredible things and basically they have a lot of very helpful features.
but i make more and more bots and i simply forget about old ones. i open project, its so complex, if something stops working ill be banging a wall with my head for 3 days on how to fix it because theres literally milion things variables functions etc..
you guys create mini documentation on your bigger projects or what?
like srs, i cant even expand/uppdate the bots because of how complex they are

Use an organization tool such as monday.com (found on youtube ads). You can also make spreadsheets if you don't want to pay for the service. Usually, I prefer to stick to the old fashioned method and I have a whiteboard that I use on my room wall. You can use anything to make a list.
If you're speaking about programming (which you are), then I prefer to use gitlab over github due to the increased functionality for project management. It all takes getting used to, but I think staying organized produces a better final result.
Breaking it down into small "components" or "modules" is the best way. Make sure to use consistent casing for function names and classes. Also, use appropriate file names and folders. I also recommend documenting your code as much as possible.
Are you just copying and pasting code or something? If you hand write everything, and you actually understand what you're typing, I don't see how you could possibly be overwhelmed by the code.
I have a SAAS project with over 100k lines of JS and have zero problem scrolling through it, and when a function throws an error I almost always know where it is in the file, without searching.
