Recover Files deleted from USB

So I did something incredibly stupid on my part. I deleted a file from my USB thumbdrive that I needed, I thought it would just go to my recycle bin. Apparently, that isn't the case with USB thumbdrives. Is there a way for me to recover the deleted file? I tried using Recuva on the folder it was originally in, it found the file but just gave me a bunch of random letters.

You can try to use Partition Wizard or Undelete from IObit

Yeah, no luck. Apparently even though I didn't open or edit any other files, another file on that flashdrive overwrote that original file. No luck. Thanks for the suggestion though 🤝

Hello, heard about a tool called "Recuva", it works on all kind of storage (SD card, USB, HDD, ...)
Try and tell us if it works :) I saw lot of videos where it worked
Recuva works, but it's more for damaged files. Sometimes there's a hidden folder on the USB with the deleted files.

Is it a text file or an image or something ? Word saves a backup of everything you open I think.
