Introduction

The time has come to start a feedback thread. I have been around the scene for quite a while. I will be covering a few different things in this thread, going across groups, staff, policy changes, and more.
Please note i do not mean to offend anyone in this thread simply just stating my opinion.

Why Did I Join

Well to tell you the truth, i dont have such a big reason to why I joined, i have been around the Hackforums community for a few years before making a account, I have known some members that guided me towards hackforums, EG Th3PonyWizard, on skype, he used to have SECHUB, which i dont know if that was ever on HF, but people used to share links there. The things such as Lizard Squad and Vin Cat, brought HF closer to my eyes as i used to be in fluent contact with members, on teamspeak servers ETC, so only time would make it that i would register.

There are many users that have helped me along the way and made my stay at HF, as good as it ever could Be.

Users That Helped Me

Here are a few of the biggest influences to me from HF, weather they are still active or not is another question.

ThePonyWizard - This user helped me along with hundreds of other members, to develop ourselves and i owe my hacking career to this user.

Sinister/Aurora - Me and Him go way back, he has Helped more than a handful of users achieve success along with teaching users to stay Mature.

Mommy- This user has held it down from day one, being genuinely a kind person and supporting me through the year.

Bitcoin Luxury - What more can i say, Genuinely the kindest member to ever reach HF.

Andrus - I have known this user for a while, we handle numerous projects together, all i can say is a great guy.

Veridian - Simply helpful

DamianVC - You're basically my family.

Okeep - Humble person

Group Opinions

Security - A group full of Talented Individuals

Red Lions - Its sad to see Nokia2mon2 not be on the forum, if you search through his threads you will see he is one of the main reasons in my opinion that HF has made it this far.

Skill - Dead

Legends - I know a few of the leaders personally, and all i can say is that Legends do great things.

Samaritans - A Good group to be in, eventually became leader.

Famous - Great concept poorly achieved, inactive. Just not right for Hackforums.

Socialites - Fun Group

Appraisers - Not a fan of this group, just seems like vouch begging without the warnings.

Terminal - Some of the best Memes happen Here

Staff

Omniscient - Good Admin, a lot of people are scared to PM him which is silly just tred carefully and dont be an idiot. I dont agree with a lot of his decisions but it is what it is, its his forum at the end of the day.

Factor8 - Rarely speak to this user, seems to do his job well.

Minimalist (Ex) - Great staff member sad to see him demoted, really did help the marketplace out a lot.

Eagle95 - Always the guy to ban me, other staff members have disagreed with your bans but it is what it is, you are staff for a reason and do your job. Keep going.

Xerotic - Nice to see a dev as staff, can take a joke i like.

IHydra - This guy is an OG simple to say, I'd trust him with my life. He deserves it.more than anyone.

Skorp - Never really seen you do much

Vitani - No Comments

Steve - No Comments

Forums

Lounge - Intresting part, if you want to laugh and potentially lose brain cells this is for you.

Personal Life - Great concept, needs to be moderated more, too many trolls and sarcasm.

Beginner hacking - Hate this section, its not what it should be, its full of Ewhoring and Bruteforcers, Should have some sort of tougher rules.

Advanced hacking - Great concept, but users dont understand how to use it, all you see is people asking for cracked bots, and free crypts.

Hacking Tutorials - Learn Learn Learn 100% perfect

Programming Coding and Languages - Great place to learn with friendly users

Gaming - Semi-Dead but you can find some good people to play with

GFX - A lot of talented people and almost 0 LQ posts thankfully.

Marketplace - This section has the largest influence on the forum. A lot of scams take place, but we got contracts now, just tred carefully.

Opinion

There are a lot of things i like and dislike the forum, this is where i will cover the changes ETC.

Things that i like:
Members look out for each other - When trolls come about, you often find members looking after each other, doing community alerts ETC.

Bytes - Bytes was a great addition, yes you will cause gambling addictions but its all fun at the end of the day, if you cant handle gambling dont do it.

Contracts - Great system to have in place, but easily abused.

Loungehead - Great concept i like it, causes a lot of LQP posting, but its all fun and games.

Things i dislike:

Groups: Allowing a singular member to own more than one group, has left the group scene dry as can be. Most groups struggle for activity that are not simply lounge groups. Having one guy own more than one means dedicated members are unable to try and make something out of it.

Rep Reset/Rekt: This is the main thing that i disliked about my year on HF. I know HF members brought it on themselves by bitching about the marketplace, kind of like poking a bear what did you expect, but i do feel it was harsh and unjust to all the members that worked their way up, those that contributed to gain their rep and actually earned it. It was a sign of Honor, now any old Kid can rep whore, repping 25 people a day and get up to 1K rep. I personally had spent hours, writing HQ threads, coding free software just to try earn rep, having it removed really did kill my intrest in HF, it made it feel as if, now all my contributions meant nothing. i guess im biassed because i really wanted REKT, grinded for it got to the 1K but was just a few months off getting it, now its something ill never have, and has made me question the reason of trying to be HQ and contribute.

Lounge Head - This is in both because the negative to this, is people grind for 1K posts in a week when they have a month, then end up getting fed up with HF and going inactive.


Final Words

Simply to put it, i dont agree with a lot, but its not my forum. i intend to stay here for the long ride and not be too quick to judge changes. it is still a great forum, although since some changes activity dropped, youll see me here in 5 years or so. Keep going look forward to more changes. Ooh i just found out its almost 2 years.  🤝

I know, I never blamed you. It's an amazing concept, but this isn't the right forum for it. Social media section is dead. Lol removed me from the group. Want to explain how half the subforum was only my posts. And if I didn't pester to make a help desk nothing would've happened.

I don't think that rep should be a reason to be HQ in this forum and contribute - it's something natural & getting positive feedback from someone is just a cherry on top.
HF r3kt is dope though, but shouldn't make you question the reason behind contributing and being HQ either. I agree that the old rep should have stayed though, but not for the reasons you stated above.
