University - Easier or harder than high school?

I've always been somebody that has done better when doing something on their own time. I've started university this year and am enjoying the relative freedom in comparison to high school. I've been asking for years though, "Is university easier than high school?" and gotten mixed responses.

The most common response is "Yes, if you manage your time well."

Thoughts? Tips for a freshman majoring in computer science?
Depends, if you're in a country with decent education it will be harder.

But in the USA, for example, it can swing both wasy since there are really shitty high schools and realyl shitty universities.
It really depends on how you define difficulty...
For me, naturally being a more /independent/ person, it's much easier.
Why? Because I know how to study on my own and gather the resources needed to be successful in university.
With much less time spent in class, and living without parents, I have much more control over what I do. So for me, life is much easier.

On the other hand, if you're on the opposite spectrum and you need someone to hold your hand,
university will be much harder.
High school was a breeze, college on the other hand you have to actually study and pay attention and if you skip class you miss out on important materials and you’re basically fucked lol
First year is literally a troll year, they up the game so heavily in the second year and the third year lmao gl social life.
So sounds like you aren't in the states meaning you'll be learning a little different than what I experienced, but basically the same principal applies. In high school you don't really have to study at least I never did and still made top grades. That's a big switch up because in uni if you don't study you're doomed to fail.
Go to class, study what you need to and it shouldn't be that hard with the exception of generally difficult classes (i.e. calculus), in which case really study if you need it and don't be afraid to get tutored. Do what you need to do.

It seems easier because you're not held accountable. Both the same.
